MINUTES - January 19, 1977
2. Arthur Lee - Variance to near .yard setback to allow
a commercial building to be constructed on the prop-
erty zoned C-1 (Light Commercial), located on the
south side of Sacramento Ave., east of Nord Ave.,
identified as AP 43-21-37, Chico

Tom Fox, 655 Woodland Avenue, Chicrr architect for the applicant,
stated that the request fora variance was made to enable his client
to fully use his property.
f` Chairman Gilbert suggested annexation to the City of Chico. Mr. Lee
i said that he preferred to remain in the county.
10:44 A. M - The Chairman declardri a short recess to enable staff
to determine the side and rear yard requirements of
the City of Chico on commercial property.
11:00 A. M. - Meeting reconvened.
Mrs. Blair reported that she had talked to Jerry Bolster, of the City.
Of Chico, and that they had no side or rear
in a commercial zone unless the zone abuts .yard setback requirementsa residential zone.
Opponents: No_one.
The hearing was closed and rmtion made by CoMIlssioner Camenzind for
approval, finding that granting this varianc,,! would be in line with
existing use on adjoining property which is In the City of Chico and
that this variance would be granting no special
property owner. His motion was seconded by Commissioner Moore s
AYES: Commissioners Camenzind, Moore and Chairman Gilbert.
NOES No one.
ABSENT: Commissibher Hanford.
