The Commission waived the reading of the Staff findings.
The hearing was opened to the public.
Shane Williams stated that he wanted bay windows and an overhang over the porch,
Commissioner Lambert asked if there was a shop in the back and the applicant
stated yes,.
The 'hearing was closed.
Commissioner Walter stated that this variance would improve the frontage
appearance along the street.
It was moved by Commissioner Lambert, seconded by Commissioner Lynch, and
unanimously carried for approval as follows:
A. andd that this project is categorically exempt from environmental review;
B. kind that this proposed Variance complies with Butte County Code Seciton
24-49 in that the strict application of this chapter deprives such property
of privileges enjoyed by other property in the vicinity and under identical
zoning classification, who have been granted variances; and
C. Approve the proposed variance on AP 43-24-1-15 (Shane Williams) to allow new
front steps and an overhang over the steps within 33 feet from the
centerline of Stewart Avenue and the structure 38 feet from the centerline
of Stewart ;Avenue, subject to the following conditions,

At the regular meeting of the: Butte County Planning Commission held.
August 27, 1986, your request for,a Variance to front yard setback
to allow a structure 33 ft. from the Centerline -of Stewart Avenue on
property zoned R-1 located on the north side of Stewart Avenue, Chico,
was approved subject to the following conditions:
1. Provide anew septic system under permit and inspection from the
Butte County Department of Public Health, and in compliance with the
Health Department's requirements,
2. Applicant must ^'rc comply with all other applicable State and local
statutes, ordinances, and regulations.
Should you desire to appeal any of the conditions imposed by the Planning
Commission, you, must do so in writing with the appeal fee of $75.90, to
the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville,
California, prior to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 1986. If you do
not appeal and if there are no other appeals within the 8 -day apfieal
period, your use permit will be issued after September 4, 1986.
