This Department is not able to approve vour "as built" plans for
the attached garaqe. for the following reasons: a) The nitrate
action plan which is designed'to stop the contamination of the
ground water precludes adding another bedroom or separate living
unit with a sleeping area to your existing two bedroom house and b)
current use of the remodeled garaqe is a studio apartment.
Continued existing use and configuration of the remodel is illeqal
and is a violation of Butte County Code, sewage and zoning laws.
Your plan may be feasible after connecting to City sewer when it is
available provided zoning is appropriate.
Please contact the Butte County Planning, Building, and Public
Works Departments for further information.
