The accessory building was built by a previous owner without permits
and inspection by this office, so we were not able to perform the
required inspections during construction.
We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection without going on the
roof, under the building, or in the attic and found that the accessory

Dear Mr. Taylor:
I have enclosed three letters (two from neighbors and one from the owner's
daughter) regarding the concrete ----block accessory building located at the rear
of 1521 Bidwell Drive, Chico (AP# 43-26-0-026). All three letters affirm
what the elderly owner has stated, which. was that the structure was built
shortly after they moved in, sometime around 1962 or 1963. The owner says
she remembers being told at the time that permits were not required or were
different.
Please insert this cover letter and the three related letters in the permanent
file on 1521"Bidwell Drive, so that future questions to your department
regarding the accessory structure would indicate that the enclosed letters
exist and state that building appears to have been built prior to 1966 when
permits were required. (making it a legal existing nonconforming structure).

abandonment, please complete the following on the attached petition for
abandonment: -
1. Obtain signatures and addresses of the owner and of -
adjoining property owners who may have an interest in
said public easement, plus other property owners in '
the area, totaling.five (5). -on Public Utility Easement.

Submit a check to this office in the sum of One Hundred & Sixty Dollars ($160.00)
made out to the -Butte County Treasurer.
