Apparently the conversion was completed more than a decade agol As the current owners we may be interested in applying for a permit to legally maintain a small studio apartment on the site, but this would be some time in the future. Currently we are occupied with redecorating the main house and landscaping. the property; thus work on the garage is not a priority. We don't consider the "single family residence" in the garage to'be habitable at this time, and it's only current use is as storage. I'm willing to send,photos or have an on-site inspection to verify this. In the meantime I would appreciate it if your office could provide information concerning: exactly what we, should do to be in compliance at this point, description of permits, process, fees etc. required to legalize the unit, and description of permits, process sic. required to convert the space back to a garage.
