BOX 151 Chico, CA. 95927 Dear Mr. LaRue: e December 6, 1979 REE Special Inspection #70-79 (AP 43-29-21) With reference to the above subject and -your request for inspection of the dwelling located on the south side of West Sacramento Avenue approximately 2200 ft. west of Oak Lawn Avenue in Chico, the inspection was made on December 5, 1979. The inspection revealed that the dwelling is in the process of being remodeled with- out the required permits and inspections from this office. In addition to obtaining the required permits, the following items must be done or resolved: 1. Provide sufficient postasand-bracing in the underfloor area to adequately support the floq'systema. 2. Provide sufficient bracing and ties in the attic area to adequately support the roof system. 3. The heating and seater heating systems shall be installed per code require- ments. 6. The electrical system anst be checked out and meet minimum safety require- ments including the grounding of all receptacles and two 20 -amp appliance circuits in the kitchen. 5. The middle bedroom on the lower level and the upper bedroom must have proper window area for light and ventilation and an emergency exit. 6. The stairway to the upstairs bedroom and the undeailoor area must be reconstructed per,code requirements. 7. All sliding glass doors must be tempered glass and the one glass light in the living room must also be tempered or protected per code require- ments 8. All plumbing fixtures meant be connected to the building ewer and must be vented. 9. The gas piping system must be tested. 10. The building must be made weathertite. (I recommend reroofing and new siding or stucco.) 11. Provide stairs and/or landings outside of all sliding glass doors and exterior doors. Merle LaRue . RE: Special.
