The bottom, back, sides and top'are %4 -inch -thick steel.'The unit is a single -door fireplace stove and the firebox is supported by four angle iron legs. The firebox is lined with firebrick on the bottom, on the sides and the, back. The stove is rectangular in front and plane; elevations. The side elevation is rectangular except for a 7 -inch step in the profile which accom- modates the exhaust gas chamber. The overall dimensions with the heat shield are 37 inches high from the floor to top of flue collar, 171/2 inches wide and 35 inches long. The heat shields are installed in the bottom and in the back are spaced 3 inches away from the back of the stove and 2 inches from the bottom of the stove firebox. Heat shields are fabricated from No.. 20 gauge cold -rolled steel. A baffle is provided in the interior of the firebox and the flue gases are exhausted through a standard 6 -inch -diameter flue collar which connects to a standard 6 -inch -diameter chimney connector. The cast-iron door is approximately M6 inch thick and contains two draft holes 3 inches in diameter near the bottom. On the interior of the door directly behind the draft holes, a cast-iron or rolled steel combustion air deflector is provided. This unit is intended for installation with an 8 -inch -diameter, No. 24 gauge snap -lock chimney connector. With the heat shields, the overall dimensions of the leg model are 37 inches high, from floor to top of flue collar, 30 inches wide and 30'/4 inches long.
