I understand that Dominick's Septic Service had been retained to install a new septic tank and leach lines for the subject property. A portion of the existing septic tank was found to be under a bathroom addition. (See attached sketch #1). The excavation necessary to extract the existing septic . tank and tight line has evidently caused a crack In the stucco on the exterior of the subject residence due to the settlement of the building. Upon further investigation, It has been discovered that the subject building does not have a foundation. To eliminate the crack In the stucco we will need to support the foundation. (See attached sketch #2). The new foundation should be placed in a trench 12 Inches or more in width, and 12 foot 6 inches In length. The concrete for the new foundation shall be placed against undisturbed soil underneath . the existing foundation, and against the form boards on the outside of the foundation. After the concrete has set for two days, the area over the septic tank and tight line shall be backfilled. After 14 days, the supporting system of 4`x 6"'s and jacks can then be removed.
