Dear Mr: Ross; r
Re Chico Unified School District Request for Board of
Supervisors to Adopt SB 201 Fees
This is to inform you that the Board of Supervisors has considered
Your request to adopt building permit fees pursuant to SB 201 and has
rejected the proposal. While the Board of supervisors supports the
documentation on conditions of overcrowding according to criteria in
the California Government Code, they did not support your District's
contention all reasonable mitigating measures had been considered and
aopropria'te'y disregarded.
Alternatively, the Board of 'Supervisors offers a sur'gestion for
Chico Unified school District to seek a bond issue elect )n as set
forth in the Mello Roos Act of 1962. In that regard, our Board wishes
to recommend a committee be formed to pursue the election to be placed
Upon 0,,e November 1984 ballot. Members of the Board indicated a
Willingness to actively support the measure, Project committee

located in close proximity to the (jut -buildings near the westerly edge
of the property. Any residents occupying the mobile home would be
subject to aircraft noise .from the Chaco Municipal Airports operations,
Tile attached mitigation measure will place future residerts on notice
that additional soU-11Installation may be necessary or desirable.
Additionally, future industrial. development on this property and in the
general area could create untenable noise levels to residents although
such noise is not a factor at the present time. Residential uses in
the area are eXtremely scattered and addition Of a residential use on
the proposed location would not be incompatible with other osis in the
area.
