Thirty-one of the houses had carports (or 18%). Carport setbacks varied from 0-5 feet. 10 carports are 0-1 Beet from property line; 12 carports are 1-5 feet from property line; 4 carports are 3-5 feet from property life; and 5 carports are over 5 feot ;from property line: Building Department files do not show that any of the 31 carports have permits. Early 1962 was the first year building permits were issued on residential buildings, Some of the carports could have been built prior to 1962: However, the Assessor shows that the bulk of them (24) were picked up on the property valuation in 1960.
