DISCUSSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATION The applicant proposes to utilize a portion of 0.74 acres of laird, located approximately Live miles ,east of Chaco, in Butte Creek Canyon as a welding,shop, The site is located on the north side of Haney Run Road approximately 2h miles east of Skytivay. Access to the site is provided from I°loney Run Road. The site is bounded on the north by open range land, on the east by a single family residence, on the west by a vacant homesi.te and on the south, across Honey Run Road, by a single ;family residence with farm animals and an auto dismantling business . Currently, one residence and the shop building occupy the site. The Butte Zounty General. Plan.designatesthe site Agricultural Residential under an FR -S zone, the same as for the surrounding; parcels to the south, east and west. The laud to the forth is designated Grazing and Open, Land and is zoned VR -160. Primary environmental concerns associated with this project are related td potential land use conflicts; potential impacts from no light glare, odors and hazardous substances are the most serious concerns.
