This is a courtesy notice to notif y you that you are in violation of the
Butte County Code, as follows, at the above referenced location:
Failure to obtain approval of previous corrections and failure to obtain
final inspection prior to occupancy and permit expiration for single
family residence.
Since permits and inspections are required for the above work, apply for
the required permits to make corrections and complete project and pay the
appropriate fees.
All work must stop until these permits are issued and you are authorized
by our field inspector to proceed. This fi ' eld authorization cannot be made
until the existing work is inspected and approved.
It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the Butte County
Code. However, you should be advised that Butte County has an active Code
Enforcement Program which provides an effective means of enforcement if
voluntary compliance is not obtained. Enforcement may be 'pursued through
the issuance of citations, fines and the recording of a Notice of Violation
including a description of the action necessary to abate the violation.
You have thirty (30) days to voluntarily comply with the above directions
or to present an acceptable plan for abatement or corrective actions to
be taken by you. - Should you have questions concerning this matter, please

Dear Mr. & Mrs Smith:
Prior to final approval of this home for occupancy, a satisfactory
water supply must be provided, a§ required by the California State
Housing Law and the Uniform Plumbing Code, Section 1001. The existing
well in this property does not -meet this requirement; the sample I
took on December 3, 1987 was unsatisfactory.
In addition, the work you have done on the well (extend casing)
was done without the required permit and does not meet State standards
for well construction. "Duck seal" is not an approved material for
connecting well casing.
Please cease work on this well until the required permit has been
obtained from this department. If any significant additional work
is done on this well without permit, a double permit fee will be
required. Well drilling and reconstruction must be done by a
licensed C-57 well drilling contractor. I would advise you to
contact a suitable well driller regarding this matter and have
him work with this office to provide a satisfactory water supply.

questions. I am available between 8:00am and 9:00am weekdays.

(B) TANK INSULATION. Storage type water heaters and storage and
backup tanks for solar systems shall be externally wrapped with
R-12 insulation or greater.
(C) PIPE INSUIATION. The five feet of pipe closest to the water

Dear Mr. & Mrs Smith:
Prior to final approval of this home for occupancy, a satisfactory
water supply must be provided, a§ required by the California State
Housing Law and the Uniform Pluffibing Code, Section 1001. The existing
well in this property does not -meet this requirement; the sample I
took on December 3, 1987 was unsatisfactory.
In addition, the work you have done on the well (extend casing)
was done without the required permit and does not meet State standards
for well construction. "Duck seal" is not an approved material for
connecting well casing.
Please cease work on this well until the required permit has been
obtained from this department. If any significant additional work
is done on this well without permit, a double permit fee will be
required. Well drilling and reconstruction must be done by a
licensed C-57 well drilling contractor. I would advise you to
contact a suitable well driller regarding this matter and have
him work with this office to provide a satisfactory water supply.
