Provide additional information and/or make revisions to plans, specifications, and calculations as follows: 1. S.P.A. approved plans require anchorage to concrete footings (2ft sq. x 1 foot deep). The awning as installed is resting on a. wood deck with inadequate foot= ings, support structure, and connections. 2. S.P.A plan specifies a design load of 101b live load. Title 25 requires cabanas to be designed for a minimum 201b live load. The awning therefore does not meet the requirement for"cabana roof loads. 3. Deck structure and footings as built are not adequate to support the deck, wall, and roof loads imposed. Revise plans to meet these load requirements. 4. Cabanas enclosing required windows of a mobile require a minimum of 20% of floor area to be in window area, with 10% openable. Summary -- Plans need to be revised to meet S.P. A. requirements and standard frame construc- tion as specified in Chapter 25 of U.B.C., 1991 ed. Adequate connection of the manufactured awning to_the deck (to withstand uplift and lateral displacement) needs to be clearly detailed, and connection of the awning to the mobile needs to comply with S.P.A. plans.
