I had done some preliminary questioning months ago and have reviewed the permit files. There are many unanswered questions. I am concerned that something be done to abate the nuisance and the environmentally damaging aspects of this operation. Certainly no one wants to put them out of 'business. However, when the operation of other businesses (farming) in the area, are being adversely affected, then some mitigation is necessary. I understand this operation is legal in its location and zone in that: i.) it existed prior to institution of the Izone and its operation is associated with ;agricul ture, 2.)approval has been given for the main building to be within the setback, and: 3.) permits have been issued for 2 trailers. When I reviewed the site recently, there were five trailers. It appeased the one just north of Anita Road is used as an office. Presumably that makes it an accessory building and that is why it sits within the setback? Is this one of the trailers for which a permit was issued? Farther north on the property and out of sight from the road are twohouse/camping trailers. Presumably these might be considered t9apoz y at one time, but they were there when I vJ.ewed.the site last June, too. They have all appearances of being living quarters and I question if the size and shape of this parcel would allow that many living units and spetic-systems. Which trailers, including the one on the south ap-rcel0 are permitted? What are the health ramifications of 5-6 txailers, temporary or not, on land this size and shape? I am very concerned with the waste discharge from this operation. 1. caonly assume the operation clewls all kinds of cars, including chemical) anci it seems the discharge of water and send that is usod in the process is dumped onto the ground, then there would have to be seepage to the water table and possible erre:tti ], soil contamination. Since this certainly has ramifications beyond the boundary o£ this property (I viewed what ;appeared to be a discharge drain; pipe that gourd dump 'water from this operation directly onto the neighboring parcel), I believe the situation needs review ;and correction. New tracks have been laid near the northerly edge, of the property. It ,appears that in the process of putting in the tracks a hole has treen farmed. Hopefully this is not to bea, sump for Waste discharge? I am aware that little can be done to eliminate noise from a sand-blasting operation. T would, however, appreciate your comment as to possible restrictions on hours of operation- or limiting the 'sandblasting to ' Inside the building.
