Use HDA:s for overturn requirements and other applicabons to transfer tension loads. All HDXs and most HD's are self -jigging, ensuring oode-required 7 bolt diameter spacing from the end of the wood member. HDA SPECIAL FEATURES: P Single piece non -welded design, results in higher capacity. • Load Transfer Plate eliminates need for seat washer. • Self -jigging design allows for flush surface instailation to ensure code -required minimum seven bott diameter spacing from the end of the wood member. • Fewer inspiection problems. Code values for bolt allowable loads have changed for certain products used as hotdowns: allowable increases for botts used with holdowns loaded parallel -to - grain may be increased only 25%, rather than the previous amount. This change produces a reduction in the allowable load value when this product is used as a holdown. This reduction is shown in the table.
