March 13, 1995. The residence was constructed without permits and inspections from this office, so we were not able to perform the required inspections during construction. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection, without going on the roof, under the building, or in the attic and found that the structure appears to conform to the intent of code requirements, except for the following which must be completed or resolved: 1) Provide Environmental Health Department approval. 2) Provide compliance with Title 24 energy requirements. 3) The main portion of the building is constructed of full logs and the addition is constructed of rough cut lumber and logs with the bark still intact. Provide an analysis of the building structural systems by a qualified architect or engineer licensed to practice in the State of California. This analysis shall include piers, footings and foundation, walls, ceiling and roof construction. 1 a 4) The structure is leaking water in several areas. Provide an approved weather resistive barrier on exterior walls. 5) The ceiling height in the kitchen and second floor bedroom is approximately six (6) feet. Provide a minimum ceiling height of seven feet six inches (7'-6") in the bedroom, and seven feet (7') in the kitchen. 6) Provide conforming stairs throughout including rise, run, tread width, and rails. 7) Provide compliance with California Division of Forestry State Responsibility Area requirements.
