ly undisturbed, and no dwellings are present.
Yellow Pine' Forest: This habitat type is characterized by the pr'edomipahce
of ye lob w pin s pr ent' but sugar pines, incense cedars and Douglas firs are .
well represented. In addition a limited number of white firs, California Black ,
oaks, California bay trees, mountain dogwoods and a few California nutmegs
Gan be seen. Atypical .oft-is;,habitat is the i.sxtensive growth' of tanbark oaks
yp
that are obviously thriving throughout the site. In some areas manxgnitas, .
and wi Id I i i'acs form a part of the shrub flora, and in other areas patches of T
squav carpe t cover ,6I red clay sail. Perenii"ials evident include wild iris,
wild `roses wild ginger, blackberry and bradk6h .ferns. A'few ghasses and .sedges'
also are scattered throughout the site. The overal I denseness of the; vegetation
and shadi precludes ex#onsiVe-development of annuals,' none:of which Were evi-
