Dor safety and liability reasons, I was alarmed at the :Planning 'Department's accusation, and immediately contacted all tenants to see if CDF had cited the properties, All tenants reported that there dere no CDF violations to their knowledge. T then Contacted Capt. Jeff Harter, (91,6) 895-6503, CUE Station 23 in Forest Ranch. Capt. Harter searched their records, and found no fire code violations' on my properties,: Further, Capt. Harter contacted the field inspector, Buster Marcum, by telephone. Inspector Marcum had no knowledge of any fire code violations on these properties. At the insistence of Capt. Harter, 1 contacted commander Ted Crawford, CDF Headquar- ters eadquar-to s in Crovill,e. Again, Commander Crawford°s records showed no code violations-. As to the matter of not being incompliance with PRC 4290, the code speaks for itself. PRG 4290 is for new construction only, and does not apply to existing structures. In Exhibit D, Dispos- al of Vegetation and Fuels, it specifically states that: "Shall be completed prior to final inspection of a building permit. k To this point in time, none of the three aforementioned AUP's have been finalited and therefore PRC 4290 is not applicable yet. The Planning Department to this day has never provided or attempted to provide any evidence to ;support their 'findings. on or aboutAugust 25, 1994, z spoke. with plAnne Stephen Lucas. I specifically asked the question why are the f `iazards significantly greater on my 'properties than on n {iborang properties? Mr. Lucas stated that all properties in and around Forest .Ranch are potentially' a higher 'fire risk, and that there was nothing specifically different in the characteristics of my properties in comparison to my neighbors.
