The chart shows the R -Value of this insulation. R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R - Value, the greater the insulating power. Compare insulation R -Values before you buy. There are other factors to consider. The amount of insulation you need depends mainly on the climate you live in. Also, your fuel savings from insulation will depend upon the climate, the type and size of your house, the amount of insulation already in your house, and your fuel use. patterns and family size. If you buy too much insulation, it will cost you more than what you'll save on fuel. - To get the marked R -Value, it is essential that this insulation be installed properly. 0 0 11 COUNTY OF BUTTE - DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOP .tE . , SERVICES - BUILDIOG DIVISIO V/•6)_ al 7 County Center Drive - Oroville, California'`, i90 • Telephone (530) 538-7541 P (Rev';12/96) APPLICATION AND PERMIT - ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER 056-350-035- ZONING BUILDING PERMIT OWNER - 1 ` ,• I. The proposed amendment is in regard to note #7 on sheet 3 of said map. Said note reads "All homes must be constructed within 150 feet of the main access road." We request that said note be deleted. Recently the Board of Supervisors approved the crossing of the one -foot no access strip on Forest Ranch Road for said Parcel 1 therefore opening up the availability for a homesite off of Forest Ranch Road, which the property owner would prefer. Attached is a copy of said Book 139 of Maps, at Pages 63-65 and a copy of an e-mail from Stu Edell of Land Development discussing the proposed map condition change. This Parcel Map also has requirements that the driveway for this parcel be located within the southerly 50% of the parcel and access Contentment Lane. Changing this requirement would require approval, by the Development Review Committee (DRC), of an amended Parcel Map or Certificate of Correction to amend a map condition. Public Works has reviewed the proposed driveway locations on Forest Ranch Road and determined they would be able to conform to County Standards provided that the owner be required to remove brush on both sides of each driveway for traffic sight distance and maintain this area to insure adequate sight distance. Action Requested: Either of the following actions would be appropriate: 1) Deny the request to cross the 1 foot no -access strip on Forest Ranch Road for two new driveways, finding that the map conditions preclude direct access to Forest Ranch Road and require the driveway to the parcel to be located within the southerly 50% of the parcel and access Contentment Lane. 2) Approve the request to cross the 1 foot no -access strip on Forest Ranch Road for two new driveways subject to the following conditions: A) The property owner apply for and obtain approval from the Development Review Committee (DRC), for either an amended Parcel Map or Certificate of Correction to amend a map condition, deleting the requirement in Note 13 "The driveway to serve parcel 1 shall be located within the southerly 50% of the parcel frontage on Contentment Lane." The reason for this request is due.to the power line easement and the 150 ft building requirements. With these requirements it only leaves me with one location 'to build my house. The house has to face Forest Ranch Rd due to all of the easements. That is why we are submitting this request for ingress/egress off of Forest Ranch Rd. On January 22, 2003 I, Brandon Doss, applied for an encroachmeat permit: On January 26, 2003 I received a call from G. Hightower stating that he could not find the location of the drive way. On that same day I went up to Forest Ranch Rd and marked the driveway, which was discussed with Mr. Hightower, with stakes and paper marked 4910, which is the address Mr. Hightower, provided me with. On January 28, 2003 I received, by mail, the encroachment permit. The permit number is 030097E signed by Robert Jones. After receikving the, permit vm prod patting the driveways in. A week later Robert Jones left a message on my answering machine stating there was a problem with the encroachment permit Currently the driveways are grated.. The work was completed before I received the message from Robert Jones. Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter. If you have any questions please contact me at 864-2584. •3 2) Approve the request to cross the 1 foot no -access strip on Forest Ranch Road for two new driveways subject to the following conditions: A) The property owner apply for and obtain approval from the Development Review Committee (DRC), for either an amended Parcel. Map or Certificate of Correction to amend a map condition, deleting the requirement in Note 13 "The driveway to serve parcel 1 shall be located within the southerly 50% of the parcel frontage on Contentment Lane. B) The property owner obtain an Encroachment Permit from Public Works for the new driveways on Forest Ranch Road, with a condition that he remove brush .on both sides of each driveway for traffic sight distance and maintain this area to insure adequate sight distance. BOARD OF SUPERVISORS `SEB 2 6 2003 oFR .' 'IFOR IA Clerk of the Board 25 County Center Drive Oroville CA, 95965 Re: APN 056-360-035; Ingress/Egress rights across a recorded 1 -foot no access strip Dear Clerk of the Board, I would like to request rights for an ingress/egress along Forest Ranch Rd. The reason for this request is due to the power line easement and the 150 ftbuilding requirements. With these requirements it only leaves me with one location to build my house. The house has to face Forest Ranch Rd due to all of the easements. That is why we are submitting this request for ingress/egress off of Forest Ranch Rd. On January, 22, 2003 I, Brandon Doss, applied for an encroachment permit On 3anuary 26, 2003 I received a call from G. The permit number is 030097E signed by Robert. Sones. After receiving the -permit wt_ procee&d patting the driveways in. A week later Robert Jones left a message on my answering machine stating there was a problem with the encroachment permit. Currently the driveways are grated. The work was completed before I received the message from Robert Jones. Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter. If you have any questions please contact me at 864-2584. Your complete and clear response will expedite the re -check and approval of this project. NON-STRUCTURAL COMNMNTS: 1, Your Parcel Map call out a 1 -foot no access strip along Forest Ranch Rd, and states that your driveway must be in the southern 50 % of the parcel off of Contentment Lane. Please revise the plot plan to comply with all Parcel Map requirements. 2. Fire sprinklers are required in this house. Please apply for this permit. The house will not be issued without the sprinkler permit. 3. We charged you for a woodstove, is there one? If so, where? 4. All permits taken after November 1, 2002 must refer to the new editions of the codes, your plans refer to the old. Please revise this. 5. The orientation on your energy calculations is incorrect. Also, the exterior door in the master bath was not calculated in the energy calculations. If there is glass in this door, it must be included also. Please revise the calculations with the correct orientation. 6. Please include the window in the garage on the left elevation. .: STRUCTURAL COMMENTS: 1. Please provide documentation from the engineer stating that he has reviewed the truss '+ package and that it conforms to his design. r `= 2. The floor plan indicates that the T3 and T4 trusses should cantilever over the rear porch. The truss details provided bear on the porch eaves. Provide adequate porch beams to support these trusses or provide cantilevered truss details. 3. Revise the T5, T6, and T7 truss details to accommodate the 3 -foot front porch overhang as specified on the plans. 4. Provide adequate support for the interior bearing point of truss T8 or provide a revised truss detail to match the plans. 5.
