Dear Mr. Cartledge & Ms. Hill:
This is a courtesy notice to notify you that you are in violation of the Butte County Code, as follows, at the
above -referenced location.
Failure to obtain the required permits, inspections and approvals from this office for the utilities
and installation of two mobile homes, and travel trailers, the construction of a cabana, out building
and carport (the zoning for your property is TM -5, you will need to contact the Planning
Department concerning a use permit to allow more than one dwelling on the parcel).
Since permits and inspections are required for the above work, please submit three complete sets of plans
and pay the appropriate fees. After permit issuance, field inspection and approval will be required prior to
work continuing.
It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the Butte County Code. However, you should
be advised that Butte County has an active Code Enforcement Program which provides an effective means
of enforcement if voluntary compliance is not obtained. Enforcement may be pursued through the issuance
of citations, fines and the recording of a Notice of Violation including a description of the action necessary
to abate the violation.
You have thirty (30) days to voluntarily comply with the above directions or to present an acceptable plan
for abatement or corrective actions to be taken by you. Should you have any questions concerning this

On January 8, 2002 I conducted an inspection at the above referenced properties. Based
on the findings of my investigation it was necessary to post the structures unsafe for
human habitation and have the gas and electric service terminated at this location. There
are numerous conditions existing which are in violation of the State Housing Law and the
Health and Safety Code.
It is unlawful to occupy this dwelling. It shall be vacated at once and remain vacant until
clearance to occupy is received from the Butte County Development Services, Building
Division.
