The portion of the parcel being developed was inspected on the date shown above_ The area is part of an existing landing on the north side of Gates Road ( as shown on the Cohasser quadrangle) on which a building pad has been built by excavating a portion of the pad area and filling the remainder. A road of several hundred feet connects the pad to Gates Road. The remainder of the original pad is covered in brush. Cut and fill heights appear to be approximately four feet or less. The fill area appears well compacted with no appreciable voids or included organic material. The grading was done so the pad will properly drain. The pad is well over five hundred feet from the Middle Branch of Mud Creek. There are no steep slopes on the parcel. No unstable areas were observed. No seasonal watercourses were found on or adjacent to the pad area or road. Soils in this area are known to be moderately erodible. There appears to be minimal chance of significant erosion of the cut or full area. Itis doohtfiil if any sediment could reach Mud Creek Rocking of the road with roadbase was being done the day of inspection. The owner was advised to mulch the toe of the fill slope with several inches of straw prior to October 15" of this year. The road rocking and mulching is the only mitigation req*ed on this project.
