A Negative DeclaraIion regarding Environmental Impact has been
filed, the appeal period.passed and no appeals were made.
Proponents Ms,- Lee Owees explained that she now has 15 dogs and
2.5 cats- her own -personal pets plus a few strays, and that the
kennel will never be a commercial one
Alice Omstea; (569) said she is Ms. Owens' closest neighbor and
that the dogs are well cared for and do not disturb her.
Ms , Owens presented a, letter from J. B. Whitlow, owner of property
on which the kennel is to be located, granting permission for a
kennel to be pl, there.
Opposed: None..
There being no further comments .from the audience, Acting Chairman
Sylva closed the hearing (74-1-2-7'7)
Mr.. Toussaint suggested that the number of dogs should.be limited..
Commissioner Hanford said that considering the size of the pro
perty on which: the facility was proposed and that it is in an
A-2 General zone, she v:ast making a motion for approval of this
use permit with the two conditions as recommened by staff with
a third limiting the number of dogs to 20. Her motion was
seconded by commissioner Thebach.
Conditions of approval are--
