As of this date, the following violations still exist. Failure -to obtain the required permits, inspections and approvals from this office for construction of single family residence in violation of the 1982 Uniform Building Code adopted by Section 26-1 of the Butte County Code as follows: (a) Section 301(a) Permits Required (b) Section 305(a) Inspections Required (c) Section 305(d) Inspection Approval Required before Use or Occupancy The above violation(s) shall be corrected or abated by you by submitting three.(3) complete sets of plans, applying for the required permits, and paying the appropriate fees, including penalties, within thirty (30) days of the date of this letter. After permit issuance and field authorization to proceed, the work must be completed and approved by this office within the permit specified time. Unless the violations) is(are) so corrected or abated, a citation shall be issued to you to appear in court for said Violation(s) and for failing to comply with this notice. Upon conviction of said violation(s) or for failing to comply with this notice, penalties shall be imposed and a Notice of Violation recorded in accordance with Section 41-7 of the Butte County Code. Oroville, CA 95965 June 16, 1987 RE: Building Permit A.P. #58-15-53 Dear Ms.-Crosley: With reference to the above subject, we have been advised byhetty- Health Department that you have not obtained the required permit;) and inspections from this office for the work you are doing as follows: The residence you are constructing on your property at the above address. Since permits and inspections are required by both State and County laws, please contact this office within ten days of the date of this letter, submit two .complete sets of plans, apply for. the required permits, and pay the appropriate fees. All, work must stop. until you obtain: these permits ,and are authorized by our -field inspector to proceed.` This field authorization cannot be made until the existing work is inspected and approved. ,Your cooperation in resolving this matter,would certainly be appreciated. At that time it was discovered that you are in the process of building a home on your property at 13560 Hog Ranch Road, Oroville, California, A search of this department's records revealed that as of this date no application for a permit to install the septic system for the home has been received: Furthermore since you are living on the property, I am interested in knowing what you are using for sewage disposal facilities. Chapter 19, Section 19-5 of the Butte County Code entitled, Permits Required" states:' No person shall -begin or cause to have begun construction of any building or any sewage disposal system without first submitting plans of the means of sewage disposal to the health officer and obtaining a permit therefor from the health officer. Enclosed is a copy of the application necessary to obtain the needed septic permit. Considering as far along as you are with your home, I have no alternative but to require :it be submitted to this department within TEN (10) DAYS from receipt of this notice with the required permit fees. Once application is made, I will need to meet with you and go over your current facility and at that time I will issue a permit requiring any corrections to the system. Oroville, CA_ 95965 Re: A.P. #58-15-53 Dear Ms. Crosley: February 11, 1988 It has been brought to our attention by Mr. Jim Glander, Chief Building Inspector for the Butte County Public Works Department, that you are constructing a residence on your property located at 13560 Hog Ranch Road in Oroville. Section 26-1 of the Butte County Code states that the County has adopted the 1982 Edition of the Uniform Building Code. The Uniform Building Code requires that all persons constructing buildings within the County of Butte, except for agricultural buildings, are required to obtain a permit from the County Building Department. Section 26-6 of the Butte County Code states that: "(a) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, alter, repair, move, remove, improve, convert, demolish or equip any building or structure in the unincorporated areas of the county or to cause the same to be done contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter. ",(b) The use or occupancy of any building.in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is hereby declared to be a public nuisance and may be abated in the manner provided by law." Stephanie Crosley February 11, 1988 Page 2 Pursuant to Section 1-7 of the Butte County Code, violations of the above provisions of the Code constitute misdemeanors. The penalty for a misdemeanor is punishment by a fine not exceeding .$500.00 or imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Therefore, you are hereby notified to cease construction of the residence on your property located at 13560 Hog Ranch Rd., Oroville, until you have obtained the proper permits, inspections and approvals from the Butte County Department of Public Works.
