Dear Mr. Helm
The Butte County Department of Development Services, Planning Department, has reviewed an
Environmental Health permit application for a septic and well. It appears that this parcel was
created by deed; therefore we need a copy of a Creation Deed dated prior to March 4, 1972 and
includes legal access to a publicly maintained road. After this date, The State Legislature
enacted regulations that became effective which required the filing of a map for any division of
land for the'purposes of sale, lease, or finance. In order to approve this Environmental Health
permit, we will need a proper Creation Deed and have it approved by the Land Development
Division of Public Works.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (530) 538-7601.
