Oak Tree Plan
An oak tree plan is required because the property is part of a parcel or subdivision map,
or another type of discretionary permit approved by the County. Before approval of the
discretionary permit, the property was identified as having a significant amount of oak
trees. This County and others are required to mitigate for loss of oak woodland habitat,
which is commonly done through a oak tree plan. The purpose of the plan is to protect
existing oak trees and oak woodlands, and to replace those trees that have been removed.
The County requires that the plans be prepared by a certified arborist, and to the standard
indicated within the note. Please resubmit the plan to the Planning Division at:

Mitigation/Condition Notes:
® A plan of existing on-site mature oak trees, located in any area proposed for
building and vehicular access, shall be provided to and approved by the Planning
Division prior to the issuance of Building Permits and/or prior to grading or
vegetative removal. The applicant shall minimize the removal of mature trees,
where possible. A mature tree shall be defined as a tree with a trunk measuring 4
inches in diameter, 4 feet fro the ground level. Mature trees removed shall be
replaced on a 3 -to -1 ration, utilizing existing oak tree stock.
❑ A plan prepared by a certified arborist, botanist or landscape architect that shows
the existing on-site mature oak trees located in any area proposed for buildings
and vehicular access, and provides for methods to protect the trees identified to be
preserved, shall be submitted for review and approval by the Planning Division
prior to the issuance of buildings permits and/or prior to grading or vegetation
removal. The removal of mature oak trees shall be minimized, where possible. A
mature tree shall be identified as a tree with a trunk measuring 4 inches in
diameter, 4 feet from ground level. Mature oak trees removed shall be replaced on
a 3 -to -1 ratio, utilizing existing oak tree stock. Each oak tree to be preserved shall
be surrounded by a circular zone (minimum 40 -food radius) identified by an
orange fence during construction activities. No vegetation removal, soil
disturbance, or other development activities shall occur within the fenced area..

Re: Gas Regulating System installed at the home of
Bob Dillman, 11104 Yankee Hill Road, Yankee Hill
Gentlemen:
Today there are two regulating systems used in the propane
industry for domestic use of propane. The most commonly used
system of regulation consists of a hi -lo integral single regulator
installed at the supply tank. This regulator delivers propane
vapor to the gas line at 11" W.C. from the regulator location. In
some installations this system is not adequate because of pipe size
or length of run to the house appliances. If used there can be
problem with a drop in gas pressure. delivered to the house
appliances causing pilot outage, mis-firing, etc.
The second regulating system used to overcome problems caused
by small pipe or a long run is the use of two separate regulators
which consist of a 10# regulator installed at the tank and 11" W.C.
regulator installed at the outside of the building. This type of
regulation is the best system of the two but is used mainly to
alleviate problems the other system cannot handle. Using this
system is less expensive than installing larger pipe.

The gas regulating system installed at the above-mentioned
location, is a two stage system consisting of a 10# regulator at
the tank location and a lo -pressure 11" W.C. regulator installed
at the outside house wall. This system was used because of the
pipe size and length of distance from the supply tank to the house
(60+ feet). The system used on this installation is the best
available.
Due to the new code. single stage regulation is no longer used
in the propane industry nation wide. The single stage regulators
are no longer manufactured.

Dear LP -Gas Dealer:
As changes in the standards for the LP gas industry and greater participation by all
industry members in safety initiatives such as the Gas Check program are occurring,
Fisher Controls International, Inc. is taking an active role and we encourage you, the Gas
Dealer, to join us and other industry members in establishing and adopting improved safety
standards to benefit the industry and1he consumers it serves.
As an LP gas dealer, you know that propane is highly combustible and, if
uncontrolled or leaking, creates a hazard of explosion and fire which can result in
death, personal injury, and property damage. Ina residential LP gas system, all
components are of great importance in creating a safe, effective operating system. The
regulator is one of the elements in a safely operating system *as it performs the function of
controlling the pressure of LP gas at the home to safe and acceptable levels.
If LP Gas Regulators are not properly installed, maintained, periodically inspected,
tested, and replaced as recommended, they are subject to eventual failure, which can be
sudden and unpredictable. Such failure may result in a safety hazard to those in and
around the residences where they are installed as there is a probability that dangerous
quantities of LP gas would enter the residence through leaks in the piping, valves or
appliance controls. While the probability of such a failure can be reduced through
adherence to the instructions which are provided concerning installation, inspection,
maintenance and replacement, a second regulator in the system would help control an
overpressure situation. We believe the use of an integral two-stage regulator or a two-
stage regulator system (such as Fisher's Type R532.integral regulator or Fisher's R522H
first stage combined with the R522 second stage) will provide an additional margin of
safety.
Fisher fully supports the current initiative of two-stage regulation for fixed piping
systems proposed by NPGA and solicits your support in adopting and implementing this
standard before the anticipated 1995 effective date.
While Fisher's single stage regulators meet all applicable criteria and industry
standards, Fisher is committed to two stage regulation as soon as possible, which in the
final analysis ultimately provides a safer system.
