McELROY Deputy Director RE: Special Inspection #48-91 (A.P. #58-59-46) With reference to the above subject and your request for inspection of the cabin at 472 Yankee Vista Drive, Oroville, the inspection was made September 26, 1991. The cabin was constructed by the previous owner, without permits and inspections from this office, so we were not able to perform the required inspections during construction. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection, without going on the roof, under the building, or in the attic and found the cabin appears to conform to the intent of code requirements, except for the following items which must be done or resolved: Q 11) Verify and provide sanitation facilities and potable water for the cabin. The cabin was constructed by the previous owner, without permits and inspections from this office, so we were not able to perform the required inspections during construction. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection, without going on the roof, under the building, or in the attic and. found the cabin appears to conform to the intent of code requirements, except for the following items which must be done or resolved: (1) Verify and provide sanitation facilities and potable water for the cabin. Permits are required from the Butte County Environmental Health Department. (2) Provide pressure temperature relief valve and proper vent on water heater. (3) Provide a ground fault interupter on electric outlet in bathroom area. (4) Provide a minimum.of two (2) circuits in kitchen area. (5) Rear steps are to be provided with maximum 8" rose and 9" run. — (6) Provide listing for wood burning stove and verify installation complies. — (7) Verify plumbing is properly ventedabove the roof and installed per Uniform Plumbing Code.
