The dwelling reportedly constructed in 1903; is a two story wood frame and wood siding structure with a.composition shingle roof. The dwelling is inadequately supported by piers and posts. There is no perimeter foundation. The dwelling is heated by a wood stove. The hot water heater is fueled by electricity. Sewage disposal is by means of a community sewage system. Domestic water is provided by a permitted public water supply system. This Department recommends work to be completed as included within the Housing Repair Program Work write-up dated September 10, 1993. The following items are required to comply with minimum requirements of the California State Housing Law. EXTERIOR 1. Replace deteriorated and buckled siding on exterior wall of master bedroom to make exterior wall weathertight. 2. Provide approved railing for rear deck. 3. Repair/replace damaged rear steps.and provide approved banister. 4. Provide adequate foundation structure for dwelling. 2 Connerly & Associates/Luke January 12, 1994 Page' 2 5. Eliminate earth to wood contacts between siding and ground. Replace any dry rot or damaged wood. 6. Repair/replace any broken or inoperable windows in dwelling. INTERIOR 1. Complete all unfinished electrical wiring in upstairs rooms. Provide fixtures for existing lights and GF 1 receptacles as required. 2. Repair/replace bathroom fixtures, toilets, and sinks in bathrooms. Provide hot and cold running water to all plumbing fixtures. 3. Replace deteriorated floor covering in kitchen area. 4. Provide adequate hearth in front of existing wood stove. All repairs, reconstruction, replacement or patching shall be completed to the extent necessary to result in'a finished project.
