OWNER -BUILDER INFORMATION
An application for a building permit has been submitted in your name listing yourself as the builder of the property improvements specified.
For your protection you should be aware that as "owner -builder" you are the responsible party of record on such a permit. Building permits are not required to be signed
by property owners unless they are personally performing their own work. If your work is being performed by someone other than yourself, you may protect yourselffrom
possible liability if that person applies for the proper permit in his or her name.
Contractors are required by law to be licensed and bonded by the State of California and to have a business license from the city or county. They are also required by
law to put their license number on all permits for which they apply.
If you plan to do your own work, with the exception of various trades that you plan to subcontract, you should be aware of the following information for your benefit and
protection:

project and such persons are not licensed as contractors or subcontractors, then you may be an employer.
• If you are an employer, you must register with the state and federal government as an employer and you are subject to several obligations including state and federal

There may be financial risks to you if you do not carry out these obligations, and these risks are especially serious with respect to workers' compensation insurance.

A frequent practice of unlicensed persons professing to be contractor is to secure an "owner -builder" building permit, erroneously implying that the property owner is
providing his or her own labor and material personally. Building permits are not required to be signed by property owners unless they are performing theirown work

Dear Sir:
This letter will confirm our inspection of the above parcel on
December 6, 1995,'in response to a complaint.
During our inspection, it was noted that the sewage discharge line
from a white Wilderness travel trailer (License # 2FN9837) which
has been observed on your property for at least 3 months was not
connected to an approved sewage disposal system and was discharging
sewage onto the ground surface. This is in contravention of Butte
County Code (BCC) Sections i9 -4(a): No sewage shall overflow onto
land; and 19-4(c): No sewage shall be accessible to rodents,
insects or humans. It is also creating a potential public health
hazard.
Therefore, within ten (10) days you are required to eliminate this
sewage discharge by either: 1) removing the travel'trailer from the
parcel, or 2) connecting the trailer in an approved manner to an
approved sewage disposal system.

RE: Complaint Inspection _--Thm-0uzk-ost 7589 Humboldt Road,

Gentlemen:
On July 16, 1982 an inspection was made of the above listed
establishment by Hr. Vince Anzalone, Zoning Enforcement,
Mr. G. Kurisu, Department of Housing and Community Development,
and the undersigned, in response to a -complaint alleging operation
of an illegal recreational trailer park.
The inspection revealed twelve trailers parked on the site and
connected to var'iou-s water, sewer and electrical hookups- A
review of Butte Coun ' ty records did not reveal any Use Permit for
the recreational trailer park, nor any Health Department or
Building Department approvals, or permits.
This letter is an official notice to take the following actions
within THIRTY (30) DAYS from its receipt:
1. Remove all trailers, or disconnect all utility -,connections,
sewer, water, electrical and place the. trailers in dead'
storage. Cease supplying water, and electrical service to
the trailer on the adjoining northerly parcel.
2. Contact the Butte County Planning Department, 7 County Center
Drive, Oroville, concerning Zoning, Use Permits, etc., to
operate a recreational trailer park.
3. Obtain clearance from the Butte -County Department of
Public -Health, Division of Environmental Health, 196 Memorial
Way, Chico, CA 95926 on adequacy of the sewage disposal .
system to.serve the trailer sites, cabins, restroom building,.
and store -restaurant complex.
