With reference to the above subject and my inspection of your residence con,`.-:-
structed on your property off Bald Rock Road, the'follming is a list of items
which must be done or resolved:
1) Submit two complete sets of plans, showing plot plan, floor plan and
structural details so we can complete the plan check and issue the
required permits.
2) After permit issuance a complete 'inspection must be made of the build-
ing before further work is done.
3) Pay additional fees of $12.00 for the electric permit.
4) Record the attached Agricultrual Acknowledgement Statement after legal
description entered and notorized signature of property owner.
5) Record the "K" Code certificate.
6) A guardrail must be installed around the deck.
7) A proper stairway must be constructed for the.entrance.
8) Provide a hearth and floor protector under the wood burning stove.
9) Install a kitchen sink and cooking facilities.
10) To comply with energy requirements, I suggest you do the following:
a) Delete the south window (4° x 6°) or one of the west windows
(3° x 4°).

Dear Mr. Manley:
It has been brought to our attention by Mr. Jim Glander, Chief
Building Inspector for the Butte County Public Works Department,
that you have constructed a residence on your property, located on
Bald Rock Road in the Bald Rock area, without obtaining the required
permits and inspections.
Section 26-1 of the Butte County Code states that the County
has adopted the 1979 Edition of the Uniform Building Code. The
Uniform Building Code requires that all persons constructing
buildings within the County of Butte, except for agricultural
buildings, are required to obtain a permit from the County Building
Department. Section 26-6 of the Butte County Code states that:
"It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
or corporation to erect, construct, alter,
repair, move, remove, improve, convert,
demolish or equip any building or structure
in the unincorporated areas of the County
or to cause the same to be done contrary to
or in violation of any of the provisions of
this chapter.
"The use or occupancy of any building in
violation of any of the provisions of this
chapter is hereby declared to be a public
nuisance and may be abated in a manner
provided by law."
Section 1-7 of the Butte County Code provides that any
violation of any provision of the Code constitutes a misdemeanor,
or in the discretion of the District Attorney, be charged as an
infraction. The penalty for a misdemeanor is punishment by a
fine not exceeding $500.00 or imprisonment. The punishment for
an infraction shall be a fine not to exceed the sum of $500.00.
