The: property, owner and developer, Mr. Grover, accompanied Shapiro In order to identify areas of potential construction activity/project effects. _ These areas, identified on the attachedreap, total only about 5 acres, although the survey resulted in examination of approximately 15 acres total The on—foot survey involved walking non—systematic transects across the areas of potential effect, maintaining transect spacing at approximately 15 meters. Examination of the surface included inspection of disturbed areas (such as road cuts, rodeint middens, etc,`) for evidence of subsurface cultural material. Vegetation consisted of mixed confers interspersed with various brush species. Some fairly recent ground clearing and other disturbances Were in evidence on the parcel, although these would not have obliterated evidence of past prehistoric use ob` occupation if such evidence we're present.
