During our meeting we determined that the subject parcel was created in conformance with State law, Subdivision Map Act § 66428 (a)(2), being that it was created by the State of California by Grant Deed recorded August 17, 1972, in Book 1777 at page 537, Butte County Official Records. This deed does specifically reference the fact that this parcel "is landlocked and without direct access to a public or private road." The Building Division has made the determination that to obtain a building permit for this site you must provide evidence of legal access in conformance with Butte County Ordinance § 26-4. A copy of this section is attached for your reference. Please note that this section does define legal access. If wish to meet concerning this matter, please call to confirm a time.
