Scott installed to a mobile home at 3 Scenic Avenue, Chico. A 3/4" line has been installed from a meter location at the front house to the mobile home in the rear. Mrs. Virginia Scott asked me what could be done to enable use of the existing line and meet the County Code Requirements. Using a total connected load of 162,000 BTUH, I calculated that the existing 3/4" line would have to be parralleled with another 3/4" line for the entire distance between the gas meter and the connection at the mobile home. This would make the gas line a nominal 1.1 inch line_ She was also told to connect the two lines by means of a 3/4"x ....3/.4.10/4" tee at the.meter and a 3/4"x3/4"xl" tee at the mobile home. . The latter tee was to be installed upstream of a one inch shut-off valve at the mobile home. The one inch tee segment was to connect to the mobile home piping.
