RE: Illegal Housing - (Tenants Goskeson and Moyneur), and (David E. Hildeman tenants) -
AP# 63-01-060, and 63-02-067.
Dear Mr. Cheal:
This letter is an official notice relating to the two cabins built on your property
at the end of Helltown Road. There are no records of any building or septic tank
permits for either structure.
Observations of these structures on February 22, 1985, revealed that neither complies
with minimum health and safety standards of the California Administrative Code,
Title 25, Chapter 1, Subchapter 1, Article 5. Existing Buildings, Sections 32, 34,
and 38; the California Health and Safety Code, Section 17920.3 (A), (b), (c), (d),
(e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (1),'(m), (n), and (o); and the Butte County
Code, Chapter 19, Section 19-4, Unlawful Sewage Disposal Methods, and Chapter 31,
Section 31-8, Refuse Removal.
This letter is an official notice to advise you the structures are substandard and
a health and/or safety hazard to the building tenants or occupants, and to take
action within THIRTY (30) DAYS from receipt of this notice to have the structures
vacated and demolished, or to obtain all required permits from the Butte County
Departments of Public Works and Public Health, 196 Memorial Way, Chico, CA, for
reconstruction of the structures, installation of required sewage disposal systems,
and installation of an approved.water system for each structure. Both structures
to remain vacant until repaired.
If you elect to keep the building previously occupied by Goskeson & Moyneur for
a storage building, remove all plumbing, stoves, kitchen facilities, etc., and verify
that it is no longer in use as'a dwelling. All illegal privies, compost toilets,
etc., are to be removed and pits backfilled. All garbage and refuse shall be removed
from the property.
