Dear Mr. & Mrs. Turkel:
With reference to the above subject and your letter -dated November.3, 1985,
below are the answers to your questions
1) The grading of a building site may require a grading permit (see attached
sheet).
The connection of a driveway to the.Schott Road will require an en-
croachment permit from this office.. The permits must be obtained prior
to construction.
2) Please contact the Butte County Health Department at 196 Memorial Way
in Chico regarding sewage disposal and water supply questions.
Due to the terrian in the area, these systems are very important to
be resolved before any other work or expenditures of funds.
3) Building permits are good for one year and may be renewed if the build-
ing is under construction. Attached is a typical plan sheet for your
use.
Even though you may want to start with a cabin, it must be a complete living
unit meeting all minimum building, plumbing,electrical & mechanical and
water supply and sewage disposal requirements.

Dear 'Sir:
We have made an offer to purchase a piece of land in your jurisdiction
(description enclosed). We wish to be certain it will prove to be suitable
and useable for our planned purpose; that is, our being able to develop,
in stages., a cabin site with growth potential to year-round residence.
We request your assistance in resolving the following questions:
I. The first stage we would like to accomplish is to bulldoze

2. Second, we want to put in the septic system and building pad.
3. Third, we wish to build a cabin as time and money allow.
Will- we be able to work in these stages without being held to certain
time frames? What is the duration period of building permits? Do you fore-
see any obstacles in obtaining required permits?
Topography, surface water, and their relationship to the septic system
are of specific concern. Any comments or directives you can give us in
this regard would be very helpful.
Help with these questions and information covering building requirements,
needed permits, etc., will be greatly appreciated. As our offer is contin-
gent upon this information, a speedy response from you is needed.
