After reviewing your Environmental Health permit for septic and well, I sent you a letter and a copy of the parcel map conditions to be aware of when submitting your building permit. On these conditions, I highlighted conditions #3 and #12 that will have a direct impact on approval of your building permit. These conditions include #3 "A plan prepared by a certified arborist, botanist or landscape architect that shows the existing on-site mature oak trees, located in any area proposed for buildings and vehicular access and provides for methods to protect the trees identified to be preserved, shall be submitted for review and approval by the Planning Division prior to the issuance of building permits and/or priorto grading or vegetation removal". This condition further defines this condition. Condition # 12 states "Fire. suppression sprinkler systems shall be installed in all new residential structures in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association Standard for the installation of sprinkler systems...". This condition further defines this condition. At this time, I do not see that an oak tree mitigation plan or plans for fire suppression sprinklers included in your application. I cannot approve the building permit until an oak tree mitigation plan is submitted and approved by the Planning Department. -Further, the Building Permit cannot be issued until fire suppression sprinkler plans are submitted and approved.
