Dear Mr. & Mrs. Vidners: Further to my letter of September 14, 1995, we have now received and reviewed the report of your well production provided by North State Electric and Pump. According to this report the well produced an initial flow of 5.5 gallons per minute. -However, it produced water for only 28 minutes. This falls considerably short of the minimum required water flow for domestic use which is 3gpm for 4 hours during the dry period of the year. Further the well's recovery appears quite.slow. We presently have insufficient information on the longer term flow and recovery of the well to ascertain whether the installation of water storage could meet our• minimum domestic water requirements. What little information we do have tends to indicate that the recovery of this well is insufficient to enable it to keep pace with normal domestic water needs. 'If this is the case, no amount of storage capacity would be sufficient to offset the well's lack of constant flow. Therefore, given the information we.have to -date, the water supply to the parcel now appears to be inadequate to meet the Department'.s minimum requirements. We, therefore, are not able to issue the requested sewage disposal permit or sanitation clearance to the Building Department.
