Joint dimensions shall be measured from the face of the panel. Overall dimensions of panels must be measured exclusive of tongues with tolerances as specified' in PS 1- 83. Grade marking for the appropriate grade may include the words "Tongue and Groove," as shown in Figure No. 3, when the joint conforms with the manufacturing specification. 3. The concrete -form plywood complies with or exceeds the requirements for Class I, Exterior -type, B -B (concrete form) panels of PS 1-83. The panel is B- B Exterior -type with ends and edges normally sealed and, unless otherwise specified, is mill oiled. See identification grade stamp shown in Figure No. 4. G TECO H -Clip: The H -Clip supports are formed from No. 18 gauge galvanized steel into channel - shaped sections having a flange width of 3%4 inch, a length of 1'/4 inch and an inside depth equal to the dressed thickness of either Vs -inch, 7/16 -inch, 15/32 - inch, 'h -inch, 19/32 -inch, 5/s -inch or 3/4 -inch structural use panels. The panel products are also referred to by a variety of other terms, such as plywood, waferboard, oriented strandboard (OSB), oriented structural board, flakeboard, particleboard, com- posite panel, composition board, etc. Five -eights - inch by s/e-inch tabs of the flanges are bent 180 degrees to form a section having an H-shaped profile. The clips are used in lieu of the solid blocking set forth in the code for roof sheathing. The clips may not be used as a substitute for solid blocking required for diaphragm construction. The channel -shaped portion of the clip engages one sheet and the projecting tabs engage the adjoining sheet. D. Conditions of Use: The National Evaluation Service Committee finds that TECO's Structural -Use Panels, Plywood Panels and H -Clips are acceptable alternate materials, products, or methods of construction to that specified in the BOCA National Building Code/1987 with the 1988 Supplement, the Standard Building Code/1985 with the 1986 and 1987 Revisions and the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, subject to the following conditions: 1. TECO H -Clips are used only as an alternate type of construction to the blocking required in the code for roof sheathing and are installed at the center of the permissible structural use panel spans, except that two H -clips must be installed, equally spaced, for 48 - inch spans. 2. The TECO H -Clips may not be used as a substitute for solid blocking required for diaphragm construc- tion. 3. Panel construction, performance and installation comply with the provisions set forth in this report. 4.
