York SUBJECT: Permit: 1261-73B DATE: 12/11/74 Mr. Anderson came in a few days ago after a conversation with Jack Hopper on 1.24 about not having had inspections on his job. Jack said he would inspect the job if Mr. Anderson could get the engineered plans on the job. Anderson said he had explained to Jack that he had not been aware that in- spections had not been made,.he had left it up to Paradise Awnings, his contractor. Mr. Anderson went to Paradise Awnings -and asked them to provide engineered plans for the necessary inspection. Paradise Awnings told him they did not keep engineered drawings longer than 6 months. They also said that inspec- tions had been made by Ken and the job was finaled. Mr. Anderson contacted Jack at my suggestion to try to further iron these problems out. Jack said he would geta copy of the engineered plans from Oroville and make an inspection for him. Today the inspection was made and Jack left the attached correction notice. Mr. Anderson then went back to Paradise awnings to see what they would do about correcting the job. They said again that it was all approved some time ago by Ken and they weren't going to do any more on the job. Then as an afterthought they said they would correct the handrails for him, but not the footings. Mr. Anderson returned to our office so,completely frustrated that I gave you a call at this point and at your suggestion told Mr. Anderson to get in touch with Paul Thompson to register a complaint with him.
