Parcel #: 8534Q`034/ Address: 14784 Glenwood Drive. Owner, Jackson H. Barton. �..// During a storm In late February, a large tree limb broke falling across power lines (service drop) bringing down the power pole. In an attempt to rectify this and restore power, we had a new power pole installed and employed Hignell & Hignell to complete the electrical work. Hignell S Hignell applied at the Chico office of public works for a permit to proceed. After an on -sight inspection, the inspector refused to issue said permit. This was due to what he considered improvements made to the mobil home without the necessary permits. We would, therefore, be most grateful if you would research this matter and send us copies of any and all permits applied for and/or issued on said property and mobile home. Mr. Barton is an elderly gentlemen now living in residential care. Due to near dire financial circum- stances, he needs to sell this property in order to maintain his present living status. This property was purchased, in good faith, 15 years ago through what he considered to be a reputable real estate firm (Century 21). At that time, no mention was made regarding permits. He therefore - assumed all was in order and saw no reason to doubt this. Since purchase, taxes have been paid on these "improvements". Thank you for your attention with regard to this matter. During a storm In late February, a large tree limb broke falling across power lines (service drop) bringing down the power pole. In an attempt to rectify this and restore power, we had a new power pole installed and employed Hignell & Hignell to complete the electrical work. Hignell & Hignell applied at the Chico office of public works for a permit to proceed_ After an on -sight inspection, the inspector refused to issue said permit. This was due to what he considered improvements made to the mobil home without the necessary permits. We would, therefore, be most grateful if you would research this matter and send us copies of any and all permits applied for and/or issued on said property and mobile home. Mr_ Barton is an elderly gentlemen now living in residential care. Due to near dire financial circum- stances, he needs to sell this property in order to maintain his present living status. This property was purchased. in good faith, 15 years ago through what he considered to be a reputable real estate firm (Century 21). At that time, no mention was made regarding permits. He therefore assumed all was in order and Saw no reason to doubt this. Since purchase, taxes have been paid on these 'improvements'. Thank you for your attention with regard to this matter.
