The carport and cabana were constructed by the previous owner without permits and inspection from this office, so we were not able to perform the required inspections during construction. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection, without going on the roof, under the building, or in the attic and found the carport and cabana appear to conform to the intent of code requirements, except for the following items which must be doneresolved: (1) The carport cannot be attached to the mobilehome.. Remove the bolts / attaching it to the mobilehome. d 2) The carport is not properly attached to the foundation system. Provide wet anchors or a proper anchor to the foundation. (3) The carport is in the side yard setback. Provide a firewall .and obtain a variance or remove it from the five foot side yard setback. (4) The electric in the cabana is to comply with Section 680-41 of the National Electric Code. (i.e. outlets and switches a minimum of 5' from the spa and GFCI protected, lights a .minimum of 7'6".above the water level, etc.) (5) Due to the location of the mobile and a shed to proximity of property line a merger of parcel 65-34-58 and 65-34-57 will be required. This inspection by the County of Butte does not act .as a guarantee or warranty as to the internal soundness of said carport and cabana.
