ANALYSIS:
This is a Use,Permit 'request to allow the installation of a 1.5 million gallon water storage tank
as an expansion of the Del Oro Water Company facilities. In addition, approximately 3500 lineal
feet of 1011 diameter underground pipeline is proposed to connect Del Oro Water system with the

PID system TheIp ' rop used tank site is'located adjacent to the bel Oro Water Company offices

on LakeriCourt,th the Paradise Pins area. The Butte County fire station is directly across

Ithe atreef. Most of the lots .on the street' are developed with commercial uses. The tank will be

very large, It will be 92 feet iii diameter and over 30 feet high. The parcel :is gently sloping to
the east and t�nly 500 cu. yards. of earthwork will be required to create a level pad. All required

setbacks can be met. The 'site is heavily vegetated and a large area will have to be cleared. The
remaining trees and vegetation should be retained to act as a visual buffer for the tank. The tank

r site is within the Paradise Watershed Protection Zone. This proposal`will not affect or degrade
the. water-quality ' Magaha Reservoir: Additional drainage from the site will have little if no
contamination, no new septic,,tank will be required and surface runoff will be intercepted by a
drainage ditch and directed out of the take watershed.
