Building permits are valid for one year and should construction be started but not completed by the expiration date of the permit, the permit shall be renewed for -21 original Building Permit Fee (plus a $10.00 "Filing Fee"). The renewal permit will extend the Building Permit for an additional year from the original expiration date. Should you not renew your permit within thirty days of the expiration date, it cannot be renewed and all work must cease until a new building permit is issued.
