The subject property consists of approximately 18 acres located on both
siders of the Southern Pacific Railroad right—of-way located to the east•.
of Skyway and south .of the Co'utolenc Rd, intersoction That portion
of the property located to the West of the Southern Pacific Railroad:
right-of-way is presently zoned AR�%711 (Agricultural -Residential Afobile
Ii6me,'1-acne lots) and C2:_ (General _'Comhercial.) . This 8.83.7-acre parcel
meets the requirements of the respective zones. The l.99 acre parcel
to the east of the Southern Pacific right=of-Way does hot meet the
requirements of the TIM40 zone in which it is located, The applicant
wishes to div de the property at the railroad right-of-way because of
the County of BUtte's plans to build, a bypass .for the SkyWay along the
Southern pacific Railroad right-of-way.
