The Butte County Department of Development Services, Planning'Department has reviewed the
building permit 04-2941. for an addition to your garage. The property is located in an AR -1
' (Agricultural Residential 1 acre minimum), which has required setbacks of 20' in the front and
10' on both the side and rear yard. The submitted site plan does not specify where the new
garage will be -located relative to your side property line, however, estimating from your
approximate scale, it appears to be less than 10'. At time the house was built, the side setback
may have been 5', as appears to be the case from your site plan.
I cannot approve your site plan at this time, as it does not meet the minimum setbacks for your
zone.' Please revise your site plan to show that your residential structures will be at a minimum
of 10' feet from.the side property line.
