Building permits are not required to be signed by property owners unless they are personally performing their own work. Contractors are required by law to be licensed and bonded by the State of California and to have a business license from the city or county. However under CAL-OSHA's regulation, fire personnel who take action. in the burning/training exercise involving this structure must don protective apparatus including a minimum. of wearing hepa- filtered respirators. According to Butte County Fire Captain. Tony Brownell, all fire Fghters will be wearing self-contained breathing apparatus throughout the burning/tTaining exercise during the demolition of this structure. The owner/operator of this structure is required to submit a demolition notification to the California .Air Resources Board. and. Where the driveway exceeds 800 feet, turnouts shall be provided no more than 400 feet apart [X] (d) A turnaround shall be provided to all building sites on driveways over 300 feet in length, and shall be within 50 feet of the building. 1273.02 Roadway Surface [X] The surface shall provide unobstructed access to conventional drive vehicles, including sedans and fire engines.
