anical Code is he section which I believe you are requesting.
As to your question about 'any regulation or standard which went into effect from
1980 through '1g82, I am•.not'sure I could' tell you' dates if T had the time -to do
the research • which I do not.

I represent John Starr in a"law suit against DuraVent
Corporation as a result.of Mr. S.tarr's house fires on February
.24, and April 10, 1982.
One of the questions which has arisen in this matter
is whether Mr. Starr's stove complied with all'of the then
applicable building regulations and standards. I understand
that Mr. Starr commenced construction of his -home during the
summer of 19.80..
I would.very much appreciate you advising me whether
the Butte County Building Department required, during the ---
period in 1980.through 1982, that a -residential wood=burning
stove comply with any.uniform building.,code regulation,
Underwriters`Laboratory Standard or.Internationai Conference
of Building',.Officials.Standard, etc.,.and if'so, the section
numbers of those.regulations;and..standards.--In the event x'
compliance with any regulation or" -,standard went into effect
during that time period, would you also please let me know
