Specially designed Jacuzzi Whirlpool and filter pumps, filter, and 12 K.W. A.O. Smith or 150,000 B.T.U. Raypak heater is included in the package. Prior to assembly of the spa, verify that all of the compo- nents and installation materials were received. Check list of materials shown on back page. 1 . Clean around all openings with Acetone. Fig. 1. 2 Mount the eight whirlpool inlets as shown in figure 2. Apply sealant to back of inlet and around each back-up ring to effect a positive seal (see figure 3). Due to fast set-up time of sealant, do one inlet at a time. Over -tightening should be avoided. As each inlet is mounted, wipe off excess sealant with a paper towel. 3 Remove "eyeball" from adjustable return fitting. • Apply sealant as in step 2 above. Black gaskets go on back side as shown in figure 4. Do not over -tighten. Remove excess sealant from front surface with a paper towel. Apply sealant to back side for positive seal. 4 Mount suction fittings as shown in figure 5. See ■ figure 3 for proper sealant application. Start with the smallest diameter (11/2") suction fitting for the filtration system. Mount starting with short screw in top (countersunk) hole. Do not over -tighten. Apply additional sealant on back. 5 Clean entire surface of flanges with Acetone (fig- ure 1). Apply masking tape as shown in figure 6. Set quarter section "1" on edge so that surface to have sealant faces up. Apply sealant around openings and along edges as shown in figure 7. Place quarter section "2" on top of sealant sec- tion "ll", sandwich style (see figure 8). Bolt to- gether as shown in figure 10. Due to fast setting of sealant, work quickly. Wipe off excess sealant from seam and "tool" with finger as shown in fig- ure 9. Wait 8-10 minutes to allow for all oozing of sealant compound, then remove masking tape. No further tooling is necessary. 6■ Follow step 5 for section 3 and 4. 7 Turn joined sections 1 and 2 face up and clean • with Acetone. Apply masking tape as in step 5. Apply sealant as in step 5. With the assistance of two or three people, set joined sections 3 and 4 on top, sandwich style, as shown in figure 11. Bolt together as in step 5. Clean away excess sealant with paper towel and tool with finger.
