The support legs are made from 1-1/2" X 1-1/2" X 1/8" angle formed which are welded to 3" wide by 3/16" thick base plates forming a + and welded to a 2-1/2" X 2-1/2" X 3/16" steel tube which forms a center support for holding the center extension. The steel tube is welded all around at the bottom to the 3" wide by 3/16" thick base plates. Height adjustment is accomplished by an adjustable screw jack and by adding 2" X 2" X 1/4" steel tube shims that slide into the 2-1/2" square tube. The center support tube (2" X 2" X 1/4") slides inside the 2-1/2" X 2-1/2" X 1/2" plate with a 1 " diameter hole in the center welded to the top. A 1" diameter tube approximately 5" long is welded to the underside of the plate centered on the hole. The adjustable screw jack consists of a 5-1/2" long 1 " diameter rod welded to a 5 X 1-3/4" X 5-1/2" long. Two 1 " nuts are used to support the screw jack and adjustment. The maximum height adjustment made by the screw jack shall be limited to 2". All welds are a minimum of 1/4" and are made by a continuous wire feed weld. The mobile home load bearing supports are painted with a "safety orange" paint with a zinc chromate base primer and titanium pigments.
