Glander Chief Building Inspector 7 County Center Drive Oroville, CA 95965 Re: Hardesty & Son Project Dear Mr. Glanders I am writing to you in regard to the application procedures of the Nu -Wall Insulation Stucco System being installed at the referenced project, particularly as it relates to our_ NRB'#1750 In lieu of providing expansion joints over all door and window openings we require additional diagonal lath reinforcing at the door or window corners. In. conjunction with the normally provided jointing of the finish, this has provided us with very satisfactory performance. All polystyrene insulation used in Nu -Wall projects is manufactured and supplied only by companies who are pre -'s qualified, by agreement in writing, to conform to our insulation specification. Additionally, the insulation is to bear either the UL label or an SCBO* number. The referenced project is being installed by an. approved applicator in conformance with our standards and is utilizing insulation which complies with our requirements. The project will be covered by our product warranty'. Also, we would like to inform you .that we are presently pursuing a general revision of our NRB j175 in an effort to clarify the acceptable and proper application. of the Nu -Wall Systems and the various components.. We have found some problems.in agreeable wording of the document when dealing with CABO versus individually with ICBO, BOCAI and SBCCI, Should you have any further questions or comments please contact us at your convenience.
