I was out of town on business for a number of days and picked up the letter from the post office when I got back. called the fellow three times and then it was suggested that I leave a voicemail message, which I did. I told him that I was NOT developing a duplex at 5457 Royal Oaks Drive. I am correcting over $5,000 worth of termite damage and dry rot. am sorry to see that the persons in your office do not really communicate with each other if you did not receive this information. I also left a voicemail message with a person who left a message at the above address, with only his initials on the paper. The receptionist at the county department told me whose initials she thought they were and that is who I left a message with also. I had workmen hired from out of town working on the property (I was out of town during this time) and they were staying at the property during their days of working there. I don't know what they were telling people, but, I can imagine that they were fooling around and joking with any folks that came around. told my workers to do whatever they needed to do secure my tools and supplies that were purchased and delivered. The exterior sheets to redo the rotted skirting were very heavy and were unbendable as well as the long pieces of wood to redo the exterior rotted boards and some interior rotted boards. They were to secure all supplies inside before they left. I was planning on having my very elderly mother and her caretaker live in the house. Since I purchased it, she has broken her collarbone and we don't know if she will recover enough to be able to live there or not. hope this letter explains and covers anyone's concerns as to what we are doing at the property. This report concerns only the placing of compacted fill' and is not intended as a soils investigation. DESCRIPTION OF FILL Prior to placement of compacted fill, loose fill and retaining wall forms were removed from behind the retaining.wall. f The fill was placed in loose layers about five inches in thickness and compacted by track rolling. COOL, C. f, TESTING Field density tests were taken at frequent intervals about four inches from the fill surface. A representative sample of the soil was taken to the laboratory for the compaction test. The relative density of the fill was determined from the compaction test. The locations of the density tests are shown on the attached drawing. The results of the tests are given on the table "Summary of Tests". CONCLUSIONS Based on intermittent observation, it is concluded that the fill was placed in an orderly and efficient manner, that the field density tests are representative of the'fill placed, and that all portions of the fill are compacted to at least 90% of the maximum density, in accordance with the requirements of the County of Butte.
